Dear readers,
The 18th Asian Games have come to a close and we are a proud nation after successfully hosting the World’s second-largest multi-sport event for the second time since 1962. Indonesian competitors were also able to carve out a new record by finishing fourth in the medal standings after winning 31 gold, 24 silver, and 43 bronze medals.
The success at the Asian Games was sadly not shared in by our national golfers but it was not for lack of effort. The players showed their fighting spirits and faced tough opposition from the players of 25 other countries who participated in this sport. The lesson to be drawn from this is that success will not occur in the blink of an eye and hard work is the way to achieve success. If it doesn't happen today, don’t give up, it will happen later.
That “never give up” lesson was recently proven by Justin Rose. The 2018 FedEx Cup winner has experienced plenty of failures before he reached success. After years of ups and downs, Rose has finally achieved everything a professional player dreams of, including winning a major title, an Olympic gold medal, and reaching the World No.
1 spot. We will have an opportunity to see the golf superstar in person at this year’s Indonesian Masters. Rose has confirmed that he will defend his title in Indonesia’s most prestigious tournament at Royale Jakarta Golf Club on December 13-16.
