One day prior to the Permata Indonesian Golf Tour, a professional tournament with a total purse of Rp200 million, Perdana Karya Permata (Pekape), the company that supports the event, staged a pro-am tournament.

Taking place at Modern Golf & Country Club on February 21st, the pro-am, entitled "Pekape Golf & Friends Golf Tournament” was attended by 40 players, 17 of whom were Indonesian professional players. Participants were lucky to have perfect weather to show off their skills on the championship-standard course.

Pekape provides telecommunications infrastructure in Indonesia and invited their partners to have an experience playing with professional golfers. “It was our first pro-am tournament. It was an interesting tournament.

While we were playing golf with pros, we are also learning how they play. We can ask how they can make a hit like that," said Gilang Pramono Seto, CEO of Permata Karya Perdana.

Gilang also added that the involvement of Pekape in the pro-am tournament, and also professional tournaments, began with their desire to help advance Indonesian golf, especially professional golf. “We hope that this can continue. We want this to be part of our corporate social responsibility," added Gilang.
