The contents of this storybook are adapted from Soekarno’s ideas in the book entitled “Sarinah; Kewajiban Wanita Dalam Perjuangan Republik Indonesia". This storybook is a media that aims to teach the importance of applying gender equality values to young learners. By using bilingual (Indonesian and English), young learners can be easier to read and understand the contents and messages contained in this storybook. The topic of gender equality does not only need to be understood by adults; children also need to know about it from an earlier ages. It is because the gender identity and human perception start at an early age.

Teaching gender equality to children is a very important such as an obligation to fulfill. By teaching it from an early age, they will know that every human being has the same rights, resources, opportunities, and protections that can help them to achieve their full potential as human beings.

Based on this understanding, the author took the initiative to create an English children's story book entitled 'GROW UP TOGETHER'. We hope that this book can be used as a medium to teach the children about the importance of gender equality values and how to apply them in daily life.
