Beginning 1997, Klub Golf Bogor Raya had only nine holes, but in May of that year, they completed a further nine to make a complete 18 hole course. Built on an area of 72 hectares, the course replaced the concept of a resort course with their Garden Course concept in 2004. The style of the course provides characteristics not found at other golf courses in Indonesia.

Each hole is named after flowers or plants that are present on the hole. For example, the first hole is named Phoenix Dactilyfera, which is the Latin name of one of the palm tree species that flanks the fairway, while hole 3 is named after the Pinus Merkusii, more commonly known here as the Sumatran Pine.

Designed by Graham V. Marsh, one of Australia’s former leading professional players, Klub Golf Bogor Raya offers challenges for different levels of players despite not being a championship course.

While playing on the course, which spans 6,320 meters from the black tee, golfers can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Salak and the variety of plants presented at each hole, combined with a number of artificial lakes and small rivers that flow around several holes.
