There’s a newcomer at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking. Not only has he drawn a lot of attention since the Players Championship last May, he also holds six PGA Tour titles, including a major. Yes, it’s Justin Thomas. Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, is preparing to hold the 118th US Open this June. Already known as one of most formidable courses, Shinnecock Hills will welcome 156 participants this year with an additional 499 yards of distance. It will be interesting to see which players are ready for the challenge and who will come out on top on the par-70 course.

At the 147th Open Championship, it’s hoped Englishman Justin Rose will claim the Claret Jug for the home country for the first time since Nick Faldo. Rose’s consistent performance has given hope that the 38-year-old will be the English player to compete and beat the world’s other elite players.
