The Amazing Thailand Super 3 Challenge was a three-day golfing competition hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand on March 26-28. The competition was held to mark a new marketing campaign “Open to the New Shades”. More than 130 golfers from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, were invited to play at three historic and exclusive courses, Thai Country Club, Amata Spring Country Club, and Alpine Golf Club.

Thai Country Club became famous after Tiger Woods attended and won the 1997 Asian Honda Classic. The course was also a venue of the Thailand Open which was won by Rattanon Wannasrichan.

Amata Spring Country Club is an exclusive, private golf course. The course was a venue of the Royal Trophy, a men's professional team golf tournament between Asia and Europe, played from 2006 to 2013, and the Thailand Golf Championship from 2011 to 2015, which became a flagship event of the Asian Tour.

Meanwhile, Alpine Golf Club has hosted several international tournaments, including the Thailand Major Open Tournament in 1997 and 1998, the Thai Airways PGA Tournament in 2000, and the Johnnie Walker Classic Tournament also in 2000.

The guests enjoyed the experience of playing on the championship standard courses and prior to their final round at Alpine Golf Club were able to meet former Thai LPGA player Virada Nirapathpongporn who gave them playing tips and hosted a nearest to the line challenge.
