Kevin, who opened the singles matches against Hwai surprisingly beat the 28-year-old on the 16th hole putting an end to the match with 3&2. Malaysia then secured a point after Kwang beat Elki 3&2, followed by Ariffin who won over Naraajie 3&2, and Nazrin who faced Benny’s ambition to continue the match but eventually defeated him 5&4.
So far, Malaysia led by 12 1/2-8 1/2 over Indonesia. While Indonesian supporters watched the battle between Almay and Sivachandran on the 18th green with tense feelings, there was good news from hole 15, Jonathan claimed a point for Indonesia by winning over Othman 3&1. Almay must have felt the good vibes.

Referring to the rules which state that, “if both teams have the same 14 points, the winning team of the previous Championship shall retain the trophy” Indonesia needed just 1 1/2 points to take the trophy home. However, golf says things differently.
Wafiyuddin beat George on the last hole, while Rinaldi and De Silva became all square after De Silva won the last hole. Despite Indonesia’s best efforts, Malaysia won the 2018 PGM-IGT Championship in the end with 15-13.
