Turkish Airlines, a global leader in civil aviation, has become synonymous with their self-entitled golf tournament, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup (TAWGC). Attended by more than 8,000 invited guests competing in more than 100 tournaments around the world, the event, like the company, provides many other innovative and distinguished services, to deliver its customers unparalleled experiences.

This is the commitment of Turkish Airlines to the aspirational vision of sporting competition and trust in its ability to unite people from different nations. In Indonesia, the sixth edition of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup was held at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, Jakarta, on August 24, 2018. The event was supported by the local business community and H.E. Dr. Mehmet Kadri Sander Gurbuz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Indonesia along with other Ambassadors who came to take part at Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

With this year’s tournament being backed by The Financial Times, National, Titanic Hotels, and clothing partner Ruck & Maul, the winners of the qualifiers progress to the Grand Finals in Antalya in November, where they have the chance to secure a place in the Turkish Airlines Open pro-am. The winners will be flown to the event business class by Turkish Airlines and stay at the five-star Titanic Golf Deluxe Hotel.

The lucky winner of the Jakarta event was Farisyi who finished with a total of 44 points. He also took home the title of the lowest gross score (72) which beat runner-up Tedjodiningrat Broto Asmoro and Amrie Noor who came in third. who came in third.
