Buku ini diperuntukkan sebagai bahan ajar atau referensi berbahasa Inggris bagi pengetahuan komunikasi. Bahasa Inggris bisa dikatakan sebagai bahasa yang paling banyak digunakan penduduk di dunia dan dianggap sebagai bahasa ibu oleh lebih dari 400 juta orang di dunia. Alasan inilah yang mendasari betapa pentingnya belajar bahasa Inggris. bahwa fasih berbahasa Inggris menjadi salah satu persyaratan yang diajukan sebuah perusahaan dalam merekrut karyawannya. Apalagi, jika perusahaan yang kamu tuju adalah perusahaan multinasional atau perusahaan terkemuka.
Penguasaan bahasa Inggris dianggap menjadi hal yang penting agar kamu bisa berinteraksi dengan orang lain secara mudah, terutama rekanan yang merupakan pekerja asing.

Preface
We are pleased to present an ESP book entitled "English for Communication Science" for students of the Communication Study Program. The materials have been designed following the Genre- Based Approach (GBA) principles and based on the students’ needs.
They aim to equip students to learn English with relevant materials and topics to their major. Equally important, all language skills are fully integrated so they can be prepared to deal with future study or career opportunities. Overall, they will have more chances to improve their language and other skills demanded in the 21stcentury era.
This book would not have been published without the help and support from many parties. We would like to express our high gratitude and appreciation to our supervisors, Dyah Setyowati Ciptaningrum, S.Pd., M.Ed., Ed.D. and Joko Priyana, MA., Ph.D who have given us valuable guidance, support, and encouragement to develop the syllabus and materials. Our deepest gratitude also goes to Eko Prasetyo Nugroho Saputro, S.Pd, M.Hum, M.I.Kom for helping and permitting us to conduct need-analysis in the Communication Study Program.
Finally, we realized that this book is still far from perfect. Therefore, suggestions and criticism from the readers will be wellaccepted for the better improvement of the book. We do hope that this book can be a great help to both students and lecturers in the related fields.
