Just a week earlier, Danny played in the Richard Mille Brunei Championship, on the Asian Development Tour tournament where he reached T-4. His result in the US$60,000 event, and subsequent Official World Golf Ranking points he received, resulted in a boost to Danny’s spirit, pepping him up to play well in the IGT event.

“I was in the best game condition after last week when I performed well in Brunei. I scored 6-under (65) in the first and the final round. Therefore, I had a good feeling in my game,” said Danny.

Interestingly, Danny almost skipped the Richard Mille Brunei Championship after having a bad result at the ISPS HANDA New Zealand Open a week before Brunei. “My iron play, which is my strength, was not good.

However, I was advised to join the Richard Mille Brunei Championship. It turned out to be a good choice, I had a great result,” added Danny. Danny trained with his coach to hone his shot sharpness before the most recent IGT event and won with a solid score.

After placing as runner-up in the previous IGT event and then sealing this latest victory, Danny admitted that the good start to his season has encouraged him to commit to attending each series of the 2018 IGT
