Hole #9

OB Golf
Located in the Sentul highlands and near the rainy city of Bogor, sits the 18-hole Palm Hill Golf Club nestled between the hills. Designed by Tom Matteson and developed by Japan’s Taisei Corporation, this friendly course offers a layout that allows players to hit back stray shots from nearly every adjacent fairway.

Like many of the courses in the Sentul and Bogor region, Palm Hill is surrounded by hills that lead the eye away towards marvelous views of the 1,500 meter high Mount Salak. The course is managed by Golflink Resorts Group, which also run the New Kuta Golf Club, the 18 Hole championship course in Pecatu, Bali.

The most challenging hazard on this course is water, which tests the strategy and skill of players of all levels. A large lake divides the 9th hole and 18th hole while a natural boulder-rich river runs through the middle of the course and separates holes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 from the other holes. Players must cross the water on holes 7, 11, 13 and 15.

The water is never far from any hole though, also coming into play on holes 5, 7, 9 and 18. So, players must be careful to avoid it either from the tee boxes or their landing areas. Over the last 5 years, the course has been a popular venue for both amateur and professional golf tournaments, such as the Ladies Indonesian Open in 2012 and the Indonesian Golf Tour series, proving its quality as a championship course.
