The 2nd Series of Indonesian Golf Tour took place at Gunung Geulis Golf and Country Club, Bogor. Danny Masrin managed to repeat his success of 2017 on the par-71 East Course. The 24-year-old defeated Rinaldi Adiyandono by a single stroke.

The East Course proved to be a welcoming friend to Danny, who previously won the 2017 IGT Grand Final there with a total of 8-under par. However, Danny’s 6th IGT title since 2016 was also secured in part because of a slip-up by Rinaldi on the 17th.

“Despite my game being good for the last two days, I was lucky because Rinaldi, who was giving his top performance, got a bogey on the 17th,” explained Danny.

“Despite winning here, I have to improve my short game for the preparation of OB Golf Invitational next week. A lot of my shots were wasted because my short game was not good in the first two days.” Meanwhile, Rinaldi, who failed to win his first title since his 2014 IGT Grand Final victory, took a positive lesson from the tournament. "I misapplied the strategy today, so many scores were lost because of it. In addition, I also have to practice physically in order not to drop quickly. This will have an impact on the concentration that decreases during the match," said the 31-year-old.

Rinaldi expressed his belief that his score and position after the final round is a signal that he is progressing since the last time he was in the top position, which was in 2014. "I am optimistic I can maintain this performance, I will achieve the best results in the next week and also in the next IGT Series," he added.
