The Indonesian Masters presented by Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) and Telkom Indonesia continues to make history for Indonesian golf.

In the 2016 event, four Indonesian players were able to make the cut. This past year, the result was even better. Seven players made the cut, an exciting success for everyone involved and a number which it’s hoped will continue to rise in years to come. Here are the seven players who raised the Indonesian flag on the Masters’ leaderboard:

Ramadhan Alwie

Ramadhan was the Indonesian player who opened the gates for home players to progress the third round. After finishing his first round with a score of 2-over, 74, the 35-year-old improved his game in the next round, scoring four-under, 68. Bringing himself to a total of 2-under over the first two rounds, Ramadhan was ensured a ticket for the third round after the cut line was set to 1-under.

Speaking after he made the cut, Ramadhan said, “I am very happy to be able to qualify for the first time since I played in 2012 at the Indonesian Masters. I was proud to play with the name of the country.” Unfortunately, Ramadhan wasn’t able to maintain his game over the next two rounds, shooting 77 and 76 for a total score of 7-over, 295.
